I just read this morning that the deadline for Next Food Network Star has been extended YET AGAIN. This is the 3rd time!!! It's killing me.
OMG, yes, I entered. Back in August. To meet the first deadline.
Now I'm wondering if I should send in another tape...maybe they didn't see mine for whatever reason...maybe they hated it...maybe...ugh. |

Rep Power: 2 | I think there's a couple things going on with reality shows now. Survivor and Amazing Race recently admitted to "finding" contestants. If you watch this season Ashley the WWE "diva" was hand picked to be on the show. I wonder if NFNS is doing that? Or maybe, besides you, the crop has been really slim after what happened in two out of the first three seasons.
I would check the rules, see if it's okay to send another tape/application, and if it is, do so. If it's against the rules, I'm sorry, and you'll just have to keep hoping. I'm sure it's tough. | |

Rep Power: 2 | Rules say that you cannot apply more than once. But they don't specify if they mean under the guise of a new culinary point of view. I think if I call it out that this is my 2nd tape..."hey, just checking in, you never called me" type of thing in a funny, lighthearted manner (like when a boy never calls you after the first date), it might be OK. | |

I've sent many an email under the same guise.
I would resend the tape, with tracking (if you don't know how to via USPS, I can help you ~ I send my rent that way every month), and use that as a submission point.

Rep Power: 10 | I entered via Craig's List where you just sent a photo, a bit about yourself and what your show would be about. That was months ago...guess I'm not what they are looking for either. I'm probably too 'old' (in years that is).
