Rep Power: 2 | We got that message on a package and it came back to us a week later with nothing missing, just the entire side of the box ripped off. It was aweful. Good luck, I hope it's just an error. Sometimes around this time of year food stuffs magically disappear. |

Rep Power: 10 | Penzeys said they would send me both another bottle of vanilla and another of the vanilla beans. Because they didn't report which one had broken. Supposedly the rest of the unbroken order is continuing on it's way. I had some chili powder and a couple other things. |

Rep Power: 10 | I've had this happen. This one was funny but also a pain because I had to go to UPS to get it straightened out.
I ordered potato chips and the box arrived all SMASHED. I'm not kidding the chips were no longer chips but crumbs. The box had fragile all over it and the UPS person still left it at my door!!! Didn't ring the bell or anything, I watched him from the window but didn't know it was damaged so badly until I went out to get it.
I e-mailed the chip company and they said to take it back to UPS and file a claim, which I did. The whole thing went smoothly. However, had the delivery person just refused it when he was loading it on his truck and sent it back to the chip company, it would have saved me an hour of my time.
Hope you get your product soon!

Rep Power: 10 | That seems like a real pain though. I am glad Penzey's decided just to ship all the vanilla again. Very nice of them since it wasn't their fault. |

Rep Power: 10 | I hate it when they don't ring. It takes what an extra 2 seconds to do? One time they left a very delicate flower on the porch in the middle of winter. Luckily I saw the guy come and leave it there otherwise it might have damaged it.
Hope it gets all sorted out.

Rep Power: 2 | How do you even know the vanilla is damaged? Have you actually received the box? |

Rep Power: 10 | Apparently UPS opened the box and removed the broken bottle then called Penzey's. Penzey's told me UPS sent them the info that the bottle for the vanilla was broken. But they didn't say whether it was the beans or the liquid so she replaced both. Vanilla is rather pricey, I am kinda surprised they did that.
I figure it was probably the liquid that broke, it was probably leaking from the box and that's how they noticed it. |

Rep Power: 10 | We also had a wine basket sent to us last year and bottle had broken. Did you think the UPS delivery person noticed the box was soaked? Nope. I don't know what is up with him. In any case, I called the wine company and they sent another basket. Didn't have to go to UPS that time. I did take photos of the damaged box and broken wine bottle, but they didn't need proof. Some companies are easier to deal with than others.
Happy you are getting your replacements. I may have to look them up on the Internet.

Rep Power: 10 | They have a lot of great things, some that aren't easy to find. Nice gift sets too. Great for a foodie or newlyweds. Penzeys Spices Home Page |
