The man dropped to his hands and knees and started eating from the food dish of his friend's dog in an attempt to exert male dominance, Der Spiegel reported Thursday.
The dog reportedly watched as the intoxicated man invaded his territory and pounced on his face when he crossed the line.
The man was seriously injured and rushed to the hospital.

Rep Power: 10 | Our husky was a very dominate dog so when anyone would come over, we'd put him in his crate before introducing him to new people.
One day, someone came over, walked right over to his crate and stuck their finger inside of it. Needless to say, our dog bit him. He had never bit anyone before, but his space was being invaded by a stranger.
The man was angry at US! I said you wouldn't put your finger in a tiger's cage, why would you do it to our dog?
He said, "Because all dog's like me." Guess not all dogs. Our vet said our dog had every right to bite him. Then said, "Has your guest had all his shots, because your dog is up-to-date."

Rep Power: 10 | People are stupid when it comes to animals. One time I was walking Coco in the park. Now Coco is a very adorable looking dog, but she gets scared by people (sounds, objects, etc ) easy. Ali loves attention, Coco does not. But I'm walking her and 3 or 4 teenage girls come up and say how cute Coco is and can they pet her. I say no, she gets scared easily. And they say oh no its ok and then start petting her. What the heck! If Coco had bit one of them it would be our fault not theirs and who knows what could happen. I politely excused myself and got us out of there. But how ignorant was that? I said no, and they did it anyway.

Rep Power: 10 | I know exactly what you mean about people being stupid. Many times, when I'd walk our Husky, people would ask if they could pet him and I said, "No, he doesn't like to be touched (which he didn't, especially if it was someone other me or daughter)." They would try to anyway and he'd growl...then they backed off. What don't people understand about the word "N O"?
Here was one thing I'd reply back to them, "Would you like it if a stranger came up to you and started to pet you?" They would think about it and say, "I guess not." Why is it acceptable for people to just go up to an animal and touch it.
I hate petting zoos.

Rep Power: 10 | Cute things can have their moments too. And who will know that better than the owner? |
