| I remember a Thanksgiving special several years ago with Tyler Florence's family and his girlfriend was on. Since then, I haven't seen any more of her. I did read he got married this past December but I don't know if this is the same girl or not. And he had his dad on one of his shows, too.
Michael Chiarello's had his wife on several of his earlier shows and I remember the negative comments made about her on the old FN message boards were unmercifully cruel so I'm assuming that's why you don't see her anymore. I did notice her briefly in one last year when she was pregnant but haven't seen her since. And he also had his daughter (from a previous marriage) on as well as his step-kids on a few shows.
In the first season of Ellie Krieger's show, she had her husband and daughter on a few of them. On Sara Moulton's live cooking show she had both her children on several times. Nigella usually has her kids on every week. And Dave Lieberman's had his gramma and I believe his mother on, too. In Rachael's early shows, she's had her mom on several and also had her dad, brother and sister on but now she just trots out hubby, LOL.
The only 'big' personalities who seem to keep their personal/family lives off-camera are Mario Batali, Emeril and Alton Brown, although I remember someone saying that Alton's wife works 'behind the scenes'.
I love seeing their families but I can also understand them wanting their families to stay out of the limelight. There are a lot of crazies out there. I also love it when they talk about their families on the show. Somehow it makes them more endearing. (Well, all except Miss Sandy, LOL.)
