Rep Power: 10 | What's the most Unusual Food you've ever eaten? What is the most unusual food you have ever eaten?
Is there anyone else, other than Anthony Bourdain, that has eaten a very strange food item?
I'm trying to think of what would come close in my book and it would probably be a chocolate covered grasshopper or some type of bug. I don't recall exactly what it was but I had a small bite. I could only really taste the chocolate, thank goodness.
I was really young and more adventurous than I am today.

Rep Power: 10 | I have tasted alligator, and there are some native plants here in WV none of the rest of you have probably eaten (unless you are from the Appalachians too) but they are only "unusual" because they don't grow everywhere and most people haven't heard of them. They aren't Anthony Bourdain freaky. |

Rep Power: 1 | I am not usually adventurous, but I have tried alligator, escargot, ostrich, and rattlesnake.
I have a Japanese friend that eats some pretty freaky stuff, he loves organ meat, intestines etc.....

Rep Power: 2 | I have had turtle, alligator, venison heart, liver, brains, escargot, cows tongue, and I think it probably not so weird as it is the combination is strange, that is my favorite sandwich which is made from bread, butter, mayonnaise, peanut butter and dill pickles, with a tall glass of ice cold milk. |

Rep Power: 2 | I'm not the most adventurous eater in the world, so I haven't tried too many crazy things. A few months ago, it took all the courage I could muster up to eat an eel roll that a friend of mine had bought at a sushi restaurant. That's about as wild and crazy as I get.
I have also had alligator quite a few times, but seeing as how I practically live in Alligator Alley, it's really not all that rare around here and you can find it on many menus at different seafood restaurants. |

I use to peanut butter, mayo, grape jelly and lettuce on white bread. Haven't had it in years, but could go the kitchen right now, make it and it!

We were at a japanese place a few weeks ago and he was all excited that he could get a big chunk of BBQ eel, it was served in what looked like a jewelry box, very nice authentic place, we went with our Japanese friend.

Rep Power: 1 | I've eaten snake that was picked out of a big tank in the way that lobsters are in some restaurants. I've eaten beetles, no chocolate though. I've eaten the male organ of a pig. Turtle head soup is something I hope never to see again. What else...lots of strange seafood that I don't have a name for. Many times I had no idea what I was actually eating. It might have been better that way. It helps to have a strong stomach when traveling in China. |

Rep Power: 3 | You mean Mountain Oysters? Kind of a thing of the past with the way they grow hogs now.
What? No coon, ground hog, squirrell, bear, or possum? You guys sure lead a sheltered life.
