Rep Power: 1 | Are you a 'scraper' or a 'non-scraper'? While I was watching Sunny's show, Real Cooking, this weekend I noticed that she'd just empty her ingredients into a bowl and never bothered to use a spoon or spatula to get everything out. I don't know why but that just annoys the heck outa me. If you're measuring out a cup of heavy cream and just pour it out, quite a bit of it stays adhered to the measuring cup. She emptied her pasta into a bowl and left part of it in the pan. Anyway, do you use a spatula and get every little bit or are you like Sunny? I notice the hosts on the cooking shows either always use one or never use one. Paula always uses a spatula....er....I mean a spatch-a-ler.

Rep Power: 10 | I scrape if it's something that sticks. And I have the little Alton plunger measure cups that pushes everything out and they don't stick. |

Rep Power: 10 | Sorry, it just makes me laugh.
I'm not a scaper naturally, but my boss has made me one.

Rep Power: 10 | I scrape every last bit! I know, it drives me nuts watching them and they leave all this important batter or whatever in the bowl. What a waste!

Rep Power: 1 | Scraper definitely, I am even a bit obsessive about my rubber spatulas, gotta have the white ones from restaurant supply, they just have the right amount of rigidity and bend.
I don't like to waste food, it doesn't make sense to me.
Bluejeans, I think we saw the same episode, the one where she was making macaroni and cheese, I too noticed that some macaroni was left in the pasta cooker, it bugged me as well. Maybe it is my generation that has just had things come easy to them, so they don't think too much about waste, but my mom didn't raise me that way.
