Sorry - this is a forum about the Food Network....

Rep Power: 2 | The whole gas situation is so incredibly sad and it flat out makes me sick to my stomach. I live in an area with almost no public transportation (except for a joke of a bus system) and everyone is reliant on vehicles to get back and forth.
My husband carpools to work with a friend who lives nearby. They split up driving responsibilities - they rotate weeks. My husband drives one week and the next week his friend drives. It works well for them and saves us quite a bit of money. Unfortunately, I don't really have that option and I'm grateful I only live about 10 miles from my work and during the summer, I only work four days a week. Still, I am thankful that we are in a much better situation than others.
Anyway - I filled up my tank for 3.71 a gallon on Monday. When I was driving home tonight, I saw one station was selling gas for 3.97. I work and live in two separate counties, and the county I live in has a higher tax on gasoline, making prices a little bit more expensive. I usually try to buy gas in the county I work in and meant to stop today, but it was raining and I was exhausted, so I forgot. It didn't dawn on me until I saw the 3.97 gas. Eek. |

Rep Power: 10 | You know there is another strange aspect to this. We have stations here in WV that are still using the old roll style numbers which only go up to 3.99. So they will either have to take a loss on the cost or pay 600 dollars or more a pump to upgrade. |
