Honey Mustard

This may be a stupid question, but I'm always trying to buy honey mustard and I never find any that I like. I buy name brands, I buy fancy brands, and I never like the taste. Its always really strong, and I don't enjoy it. But when I go to restaurants I usually love the honey mustard that they serve. Places like Quiznos, Bennigans, even McDonalds all have different honey mustard, but I like it. Even local restaurants have honey mustard that I love, but when I try to buy a bottle at the store I can't stand it. Is there anything I can look for when I'm buying that will give me a clue as to how to pick one that I will like? The bottles at Quiznos say "mild douce" on them if thats any clue.

The best honey mustard I have found that is creamy like the dipping sauces in restaurants is Marie's Honey Mustard Dressing. It comes in a glass jar and is refrigerated in the produce department. This stuff doesn't have the pungent mustard flavor and is pleasantly sweet, I use it when I make fried chicken strips.

Marie's and Lighthouse make very good dressings. I love the Sesame Ginger.

We bought one that is a honey mustard + mayo. Its as close as I've found so far. The taste is much more mild than the other ones I've tried.

Harry and David and Hickory Farms both have honey mustard but you have to go to their stores to get it. They only come in gift baskets online. I've had Harry and David's and it is good.

Have you tried looking online for a recipe? There are a lot of variations.
