Watched my new DVD of The French Chef last week, and it has inspired me to try Boeuf Bourginon. (Wonder if that can be done in a crock pot...)

Julia Child in black-and-wh1te!! Aerial cameras!! No CGI FX and edgy music!! Now that's cookin'!!

Right after we sat down, before the menus were handed out, we were served marinated ceci beans over bruschetta as a pre-antipasto.

We ordered:
  • Vino
    • Barbera
    • Tocai
  • Antipasto
    • Roasted Beet Tartare
    • Grilled marinated mushrooms
    • Grilled octopus
    • Marinated fresh sardines
  • Primi (shared 3)
    • Pappardelle Bolognese
    • Gnocchi in Oxtail ragu
    • Goat cheese tortelloni
  • Secondi
    • Roast sea bass (2)
    • Grilled quail
    • Fennel Dusted Sweetbreads
  • Dolci
    • Gelati and Sorbetti
    • Biscotti and Cookies
  • Digestivi
    • Nardini Grappa
    • Lemoncello
By the time we got to the Blue Note to see Faddis, there was no room for us, so that one event was a wash-up. Overall, great day and evening.

Holy cow! When I go out for dinner I can't even order an appetizer because I won't have room for my dinner, LOL. (How many notches did you have to loosen your belt, hee-hee?)

did you ever see the size of the portions on ICA they are little, wonder if it is the same at the restaurants. When I was at NOLA's the portions were not huge, but when your done you were full, but not stuffed. Emeril's in NO was pretty much the same way.
