Can you compete ?

Could you do better or as well given a chance ?
1.Describe your style of cooking in a sentence or less
2. What 3 dishes would you serve that could be prepared in 30 minutes ?
I think this will be fun to do, see where everybody is at and what you think you could do given a chance. It will give everybody an idea as to what you hold near and dear to your cooking heart.

Mine would be
1. A New Orleans flair with a Texans Touch.
2. A gazpacho soup of pureed tomatoes and okra, Red beans and creole seasoned rice, and Cajun seasoned grilled Pork chops.

Classy, tasty and devine!

Three dishes would be:

Fresh prawns sauteed with butter and garlic with a splash of Vermouth served over Arugala with light Italian homemade dressing

Asparagus lightly blanched and finished with fresh lemon and lime juice and zest

Brie wrapped in puffed pastry served with seasonal fresh fruit

Where are all you cooks and chefs? I thought this would be interesting, see if we can do things like the people we all are talking about. Will have to see what this weeks test are going to be and see if we can do it here also. Hats off to the 3 who have given it a shot.

I don't have any particular style. The food I cook is as diverse as my taste in music (heavy metal & classical). One night it could be an old-fashioned tuna casserole or an angel hair pasta with shrimp and garlic and the next night it could be a 4-hour pot roast. I don't like to pigeonhole. Some of the dishes I cook are quick but most of them are time-consuming. I'm retired so I have the time to devote to making something well.

Ok I'll play...

Style: Culinary chaos... meaning I'm all over the place with my style

Dishes: Pan seared ribeye in a cast iron skillet with butter
Chipotle laced mashed sweet potatoes
Roasted asparagus
