Okay, when I first seen this go whoopie pie, I really was thinking moon pie. That I use to eat a while back, when we used to put peanuts in our cokes, and the corner store still had penny candy. Yesterday wasn't it.

In Maine where I grew up, they are practically a food group, you can find them everywhere!

I have never had anything that was quite the same since leaving the northeast. They are a soft cake-like cookie with a fluffy buttercream filling, very often Fluff (a product similar to marshmallow creme)is added to the filling.

I am going to have to try this recipe, this lady was featured on the FN show "Road Tasted" with Paula Deen's sons.

Oh great, now I am craving them!
