Ok. I admit it, I have done it...

The Five Paragraph Bitter Food Critic Will Not Be Molli-Coddled

Have you ever tried something new just because the packaging looked interesting? I'm not ashamed to admit it - I'm American, have some disposable income, and am easily distracted by bright, pretty things.
At least, that's my excuse for trying out MolliCoolz yesterday, and I'm sticking with it. I was not particularly hungry for ice cream, nor was I even trying to feed a sweet tooth. I was simply walking down the frozen foods aisle, minding my own business, when *BAM* I saw a bunch of ice cream beads staring at me.

MolliCoolz are definitely targeted towards the "spoiled rotten elementary school kid with over-indulgent and easily-manipulated-through-guilt parents" demographic.

At the mall in Columbus they had a dippin dots vending machine. It was all I could do to pry my son away from that and convince him to get real ice cream. It is funny the things that fascinate in marketing.

I always try new products, especially if the outside looks interesting. Sometimes the insides aren't so good, but I tried it.

I love Dippin Dots...in fact I think that I may get some today! ha ha Yum!

Also, yes...I am sucker for cool packaging and sometimes I do judge a book by its cover.

Give me my good full half gallon of Texas made from Texas milk, right up the road from here of Blue Bell ice cream. They come out with new flavors every year, run them for a couple months and they are gone, some of them I wish they would bring back they were delicious. Wonder why they do not put all this package research into foods that would be healthy for us ? Seems like all the fancy packaging go into fat foods.

I do.

Not just with food. I once bought a shampoo based completely on the packaging. I used it once, didn't like it for my hair type. Tried to get my sister to use it, she didn't want it. Every time someone stays over I try to get them to use it, nobody will. I'm pretty sure its still in my shower.

I can't tell you how disappointed I was that Mazola pure changed their packaging from the neat curvy can to the regular spray can. I guess it's to save money but the other can looked so much nicer. I liked the non butter version.

Good bye curvy can. :cry2:
