Is frozen food a fad or the future for home cooking?

I am now officially a Grown Up. I head off to Iceland; in the window there are garish posters for frozen strawberry cheesecake and salt and pepper beef ...
There is room for all God's creatures....right next to the mash potatoes.

You must learn to love to learn.

If it's a fad it sure has stood the test of time.

I couldn't make do without my large upright freezer since I'm 45 mins from Charleston and can't just "run to the store" for things. People here on Edisto tend to make "town runs" once or twice a month and stock up on things.

We've had a freezer since I was a kid back in the 50's! Longest running fad I've ever heard of.

I or we have 22 foot cubic freezer, plus two refrigs. with freezer capacities. With the veggies, the pork, beef, chicken, etc. I would be lost without it. Course the concept of the freezer is long gone and I would stake my old business on that.

We have an upright, and a ice box extra in the garage, then the big ice box in the kitchen. We try to buy bulk then, frezze in smaller packages.

prepared with passion and served with love !

We kept our old refrigerator when we remodeled and put it in what will be the garage ... again, previous owners made it a room, and we are changing it back to the garage.

If anything happens to it I will replace it for sure. It's been so nice having 2. It's a GE and has lasted longer than anything we have bought. So all of my new stuff is GE.

Mom and Dad have a GE refrigerator that's older than I am in their laundry room. Not that it's that long ago mind you.

I am going to buy a small chest freezer. The freezer in the top of my fridge is just not big enough. When I hit a good meat sale, I have all I can do to get everything in there and then have to rearrange when I take something out. What a pain!
