    Am I silly?

We still use the old basic four food groups in this family. Are we crazy?

Nope! I (usually) make sure that they are all accounted for in my childrens meals. I try to do it for myself as well.

I do it, and it bugs me if things are the same color. Like if we have mac and cheese I won't have corn, they are too close in color. Unless I can put other colors between them.

I do the same thing. It has to have 'plate appeal' no matter what!

I am laughing because last night I gave my son, mac and cheese and corn...but it had white kernals too! Then I gave him some craisins on a while plate. Didn't look TOO bad. ha ha

They're still in effect. It just has been modified a bit though, to include more things.

I never thought about it, I always just put together things I like. Well I didn't used to think about it until I went out to dinner and got fries and mashed potatoes and my brother made fun of me for doing two potato things. I was just getting what I liked...
Those who forget the pasta are condemned to reheat it.

That would be a lot of starch. I hope you eat bran flakes or something.

Not for me. Took me and the gorls over two hours just to shuck the second batch of corn. Course today is the hard day, burners going on both stoves.
