I am world renown for my bread!

Actually...people come here for the appetizers. I get many requests for our mozzarella & tomatoes and the sliced seasoned tomatoes. Can't say I do anything special. We usually fill them up with cheese, olives, tomatoes and bread before dinner.

Oh.....and we get many people come to drink our wine.

Lasagna is what people ask me for the most if they are coming to dinner. I will add it to the recipe section soon. I hate typing all those out. I am not very good at the descriptions for preparation. I just know how I do it. I need to work on how to tell everyone in simple steps.

Sometimes I use the same recipe and Orecchiette pasta that way I don't have to do all the layers. It's my lazy lasagna.

pretty much anything Italian. I guess a specialty would be grilled pizza, baked stuffed artichokes, and something we like to call "swamp soup"...aka escarole soup.

I make a kick azz chili that is so renowned with my family and friends that I have to use an 18 quart slow cooker to make a batch and have enough to share with everyone.

Beans or no beans? I have seen this debate get ugly on other forums. Not quite as bad as the sugar in cornbread battles though.

Used to be no beans. The original recipe is no beans but I've started adding them to make it go further and more versatile. When I add the beans I can use it to make taco salad and chili mac. My dad also likes it with beans and he's lent me a lot of money over the years.

Beans are a personal choice, and a financial choice if you ask me. And I have seen the same ugly arguments. It's a choice, it shouldn't be a battle.

What I hate though is when people call it Chili con Carne. Carne is meat and chili is meat. It's redundant and it irritates me.

I like beans in what I eat in a bowl like soup. If I put it on Nachos or a hot dog I do not add beans.

If I'm making chili, I add kidney, black and pinto (or white) beans. There's no debate here. Just personal taste and style.
