Cooking Mama Sells 4 Million in the US

Cooking Mama Sells 4 Million in the US

By Yaris Gutierrez | Posted in Loot Ninja | Tagged cooking mama, iPhone, Majesco, Nintendo DS, Sales

I’m a fan of cooking. There’s just something rewarding and fulfilling about cooking a good meal that gives you a sense of accomplishment. Even when I microwave Chef Boyardee (which is the best Italian food, hands down) I feel like Bobby Flay from the Food Network. I dare him challenge me in a cook-off – no one in their right mind can make Chef Boyardee the way I do. And it seems like this whole “cooking” thing has become a trend just about everywhere thanks to popular shows like Emeril and Tyler’s Ultimate, which gives you that warm feeling of trying to become a cook. And thanks to shows like these, the Japanese gaming industry – with their willingness to try just about anything with games - began to mold around this new popular trend and came up with Cooking Mama – a simulation-styled minigame compilation for the Nintendo DS and iPhone and developed by Cooking Mama Limited.

I have Cooking Mama 2 Dinner with Friends for my DS and I love it! It's so fun! I like making the unique foods. It's also a great way to learn different foods from around the world and how they prepare it. I can't wait to get it for my Wii.

Don't have a Nintendo and don't plan on getting one....we had one YEARS ago when they first came out. But, daughter is now an adult so I won't be getting another one. Besides, I'm so busy with the computer I wouldn't have time to play a game.
