About Cake Boss
Buddy Valastro is one of the most successful and renowned cake artists in the United States. Master baker of Carlo's City Hall Bake Shop in Hoboken, New Jersey, Buddy is the cake boss.
He supervises a team that includes his mother, four older sisters and three brothers-in-law. And when you're working with family on a daily basis, there is bound to be a lot of drama. The Valastros know drama but and at the end of the day they also know love.
Cake Boss chronicles Buddy's over-arching desire to achieve his late father's dream of making Carlo's Bake Shop a household name with or without the help of his family.

I've seen the commercial for it a couple times over the weekend. From what I saw it remained me of "American Chopper" set in a bakery with Buddy playing the "Big Paul" role.
Thought about checking it out, but it comes on the same time as "Medium." So, if they air it again during the week maybe I'll catch it.Most of all, cook from the heart, and you’ll never be lonely when the dinner bell rings! - Chef Robert Irvin

Cake Boss needs to be more like Housewives, less like Ace of Cakes
TV Squad - Santa Monica,CA,USA
Think about a cross between Ace of Cakes and The Real Housewives of New Jersey, and you'll get an idea of what's going on here: lots of hand gesturing and ...

I only saw a few minutes of it last night, not enough to say one way or another on it. But I did like him from when he was on Food Network.

On the episode this past week he made this beautiful wedding cake. It was white, with a fondant draping that looked like cloth down it, and beautiful white lilies. The bride came in the day before the wedding to see it and she hated it and wanted a new one. He said they were busy, but he'd go in the back and see if they could fit in another cake. While he was away she took bags of multi-color icing and smeared it all over the new cake and when he came back she said she wanted a new cake made. When he called her mother to tell her that there would be no cake for the next day she convinced him to make a new one. I kind of hope it was all a put up for the show because I can't believe someone would act that way.

I hope that it was set up for the show, because anyone who would act like that does not deserve a wedding cake.
Unfortunately I have seen people act pretty badly. I had a customer when I worked at Bj's scream and throw a fit because she didn't think that the shade of blue that we used was right. We made lots of cakes for this school's graduations and nobody complained before. She threw the cake on to the floor and said "there, now you have to make me a new one!" We told her that she would have to leave the premises or we would have her removed.

If a 'bride' acts that way, can you imagine what kind of wife
she is going to be?
Run, run, now!!!! Don't look back! This person needs to grow up and get help!
