What are your food quirks?

First of all, do you consider yourself a picky eater? What foods/drinks do you dislike? What are your food quirks? For instance, I know a guy who can't eat block cheese, but if it's sliced he has no problem.

I'm not a picky eater at all, except my hot food has to be hot, not lukewarm.

Dislikes: any kind of congealed salad, organ meats, root beer. I'm not a big fan of cream pies, and even though I live in the south, I don't like iced tea or banana puddin'.

How about you?

I like cooked tomatoes ... but not raw. Therefore I like canned tomatoes better than fresh. The canning process cooks them a bit.

I HATE LIVER. Can't look at it, smell it, cook it, eat it. My husband loves it with the onions. So did my mom and she would cook it for him. On that day, I found something to do away from the smell.

Not a picky eater but there are a few foods I don't like: Oysters, beets, the "peppery" salad greens, raspberries, coffee, kiwi, black beans and congealed salads.

My food quirk would be that I can't stand to eat bread that has gotten wet. Like when you get a burger and all the juices soak into the bread making it wet and mushy. And, I will not eat veal.

Other than those things... the sky the limit!

Oriolefan: you can send all your root beer, sweet tea, cream pies and 'nana puddn' this way. This Southern gal loves them!

I don't like it if you have raw onions in something and you don't see them as you take a bite. Like in a burrito ... if you chew and you have onion water crunch out. In a salad I am fine with it. But I don't like raw onions on things that have otherwise been cooked. Cooked onions are fine.

I am not a picky eater, I will eat anything except if is has, smells, taste, made with, even the milk of, including suntan lotions, has the texture of, in it, on it, been cooked in the same pan, COCONUT yuck spit cough gag that is my only pet peeve, I just despise it. I can only think of one thing I just did not care for and that was head cheese. Most everything else is fair game.

Oh my goodness... I'm an INCREDIBLY picky eater. This could take a while...

Dislikes: olives, mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise, pickles, cucumbers, hot peppers, tartar sauce, mussels, pretty much all beans except green beans, the seeds & wet portion of a tomato, most untoasted bread, yogurt (can't stand the smell of it), egg yolks except when dipped in with toast, grits & any version thereof, a lot of different cheeses, sour cream, any sorta of chip dip except salsa, most salad dressings, soggy bread, sweet tea, oysters, beets, COFFEE (can't even stand the smell of it), relish, most melons, wet scrambled eggs (they MUST be dry), celery, bologna, salami, chick peas/hummus, anything mocha, banana anything, tamarind, grapefruit, cream cheese, beer, most wine, diet soda, orange juice, pineapple juice, tomato juice/V8...

There's a lot of foods I haven't tried, either, but I'm not about to list those, too.

LoL! Well, thank you! The foods I like, most of which I really love! But, it is definitely hard to find full meals (& sandwiches) that I like.
