I am here to talk to you about the mixing bowl magazine! it's www.mixingbowl.com 's magazine that is a better homes and garden's special interest magazine. I am featured with a 3 page spread as well as some of the other "mixers". I would love it if you check it out!
Also visit my newly refurbished website and visit my profile on mixingbowl.com . My username is tannerodell. Also follow me on Twitter http://twitter.com/tannerodell
Hey, Tanner, I found the magazine at Safeway and bought a copy to read about you and your recipes.
Bravo!!!
How did they do the interview, over the phone? And, one other question, the food looks delicious and gorgeous photos. Do they make your recipes and take the photos? Or, do they come to you and you make the dishes?
I did an interview over the phone in Febuaryish, and they make the recipes and photograph them. We are going to visit Meredith publishing's facility the 7th of july! we get to see how it works, and meet with the editor. I also get to cook for the chefs. Thanks!!!

thanks for your amazing comments! My goal is to bring cooking to teenagers, and really become an amazing chef and artist with my food. I want to eventually make a show that is dedicated to teens cooking and getting kids in the kitchen. My dream after that will be a small restaraunt that makes only the best foods. Please share my website with all the foodies you know, and Thanks again for what you had to say!

You have a bright future ahead of you for sure, no doubt about that! Having someone like you on TV when I was a teenager in the kitchen would have been fantastic, I bet that you will inspire many young people to step into the kitchen and discover their passion!

Tanner, congratulations on making the magazine, you seem to have a well developed sense of what you want to do, are you looking at culinary school ? and which one ? perhaps some time over seas in an internship under a French Chef for a well rounded balance of cooking skills, I think most of us will be following your career and where you go with it. Please keep us informed, I will pass it on to a few students around here looking to go into the culinary field, show them what can be done if you put your heart in to it.

I, too, look at food as a form of art. Everything I do from creating a dish to plating has to look interesting, colorful and balanced.
Recently I entered a contest baking a Strawberry Orange Zest pie. I had only made this twice before. And guess what?
I won for "Best Appearance"! They only gave out four awards and I was honored with the one I most hoped for.
The interesting thing is you are pursuing your passion at such a young age. I, on the other hand,
recently started to at the ripe age of 58!
My thoughts are this...."You are never too old to be what you might have been"....age doesn't matter...young or more mature, you can be successful if you pursue what you love.
We are all very proud of your success and happy you joined our forum!!!
