Description:
From the "Taste of Home" newsletter

Great to decorate with when doing a gingerbread house.

Other: Ingredients:
Time:
30 mins.
Difficulty:
Easy
Serving Size:
8
  1. 1 tablespoon butter, softened
  2. 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
  3. 1/2 teaspoon mint extract
  4. 1/8 teaspoon salt
  5. 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  6. 1 drop blue food coloring
  7. 1 drop yellow food coloring
  8. 1 drop red food coloring
  9. Colored sprinkles and cake decorator candies
Instructions:
  1. In a small bowl, combine the butter, corn syrup, extract and salt. Gradually stir in confectioners' sugar. Knead by hand for 1-2 minutes or until mixture becomes pliable.
  2. To 1 tablespoon of dough, add blue food coloring; knead until blended. Add yellow food coloring to another tablespoon of dough and knead. Add red food coloring to another tablespoon of dough and knead. Leave remaining dough white.
  3. Roll white dough into a log; remove one-fourth of the log and set aside. For the snowmen's bodies, divide the remaining log into 8 pieces and roll into balls. For the snowmen's heads, divide the reserved dough into 8 pieces and roll into balls. Stack 1 smaller ball on top of each larger ball. Use the colored dough to form hats, scarves and earmuffs as desired. Use colored sprinkles and candies to make eyes, nose and buttons. Yield: 8 snowmen.

Me too! My hubby makes fun of me for having so many. There's no people like snow people.

A snowman is one thing my kids can make for me that they know I love, they have fun ... and they are so proud they made it for me. And then I make them something special to warm up when they come in.

I could never live somewhere that it doesn't snow.

Did anyone ever buy the Snowden snow men from target, years back, they were so cute and changed outfits every year, it was kinda their christmas mascot. My mom collects snowmen and I would send them to her every year, before they had a target.
