The Edge is GONE!

Every so often we get in the mood for a pizza. I know, making it at home is best, but sometimes, we order out.

Last night, was one of those nights. We had become quite fond of The Edge by Pizza Hut. I called in only to find out 'THEY NO LONGER HAVE IT!' What? Why do companies do this?

I was told this was one of their most popular pizzas and they remove it from the menu.

Needless to say, I called our second choice, which is locally owned pizzeria. I must admit the pizza was absolutely perfect. I could not have made it better.

Still I ask "Why?"

At least you got a good pizza from the local joint.

Reminds me of a refrigerated dinner-dough-product-in-a-can that Pillsbury used to make called oatmeal twists. We liked 'em a lot. They stopped making them. I haven't thought about those in years.

Anyone remember Opera Creme cookies? I used to love those when I was a kid.

It is like the TV shows, they take the good ones off the air, and leave us, well I will not go there.

Years ago Pizza Hut had this bbq pizza on their menu here. Everyone loved it and it was big in sales, but just like anything good, they removed it. At the Pizza Hut we go to (no home delivery for Edisto) they still get asked about it. Since we can't get it anymore, that inspired me to create my own bbq pizza - bbq and collard greens. Don't laugh... it's good!

Pizza Hut always seems to do that, remove the most popular items. A couple months ago, I had the same thing happen, I'd called in from something we had JUST seen a commercial for the night before & they said they didn't have it anymore. I ended up calling a back-up pizza joint, & Pizza Hut lost a sale.

Pluff, I saw a commercial last night for Round Table Pizza for a BBQ'd pizza. Do you have those out there?
Their pizzas are really quite good, but we don't have one too close by...maybe 20 minutes? Others are about 5 minutes.

No, we don't have any of those, in fact I've never heard of them. They must just be on the west coast.
