I wonder what the issue is? I would think all the things used to make them would be shipped in frozen at a standard price world wide. Maybe it's just no one can afford to eat there anymore.

VooDoo Donuts is the donut place out here.

Anthony Bourdain goes there whenever he is in town. He's featured them and A Pizza Scholls many times. Think he is friends with both the owners or there is some connection.

I thought it had to do with inflation and the worth of their currency plummeting.

I am not sure what that means to the restaurant for staying open if people are lining up in the thousands to get one last ... but okay. My thinking was that if their cost is the same even if other prices inflate they have a standard product that is mass produced at a certain price. But I guess if they can't sell it, then it doesn't matter.

I didn't even know where he was exactly in the country until he got back. I couldn't put his rank on any mail I sent him and the address was for a fictitious unit. Makes for a very stressful time because whenever anything happens you never knew if he was close to it. I really got into the Food Network during that time, because I couldn't handle the news.
    A snake eater unit eh?

No he was an Armor officer, but they had some interesting combinations for certain task forces with specific jobs. Go figure, keeps everyone on their toes I guess.

I don't really get it either, thats just what I had heard on TV. I had supposed it had to do with costing more of their money to import the stuff and then it costs the customer more to buy it. But I'm bad on getting the business stuff.

You can't be any worse than I am. My husband is my calculator. He's like rainman or something with numbers.

I would think Iceland would have to import a lot. My understanding is that it is pretty much a big rock.
