I wonder, with what kind of cuisine he is going to reopen?

There have been several Dairy Queens around here that have given up their franchises and are now something like "Dairy Bar" but still have pretty much the same thing.

I also read in the bankruptcy listing online that a lot of the Dunkin' Donuts are closing back east.
What's up with that?
Most all of our donut shops are local bakers....except for a few Crispy Creme.BerryBaby

Well if it is in the Boston area I wouldn't be surprised, I have never seen an area more over saturated with Dunkin Donuts. I remember seeing 5 on the same road within a mile and a half!

Believe it or not, even here in the area where Krispy Kreme was born, we have very few shops maybe 2 in Raleigh.
I would love to see more local bakeries pop up.MAC

We do not have any Dunkin Donuts. We do have a Krispy Kreme, but I like a place called Donut Connection best. I don't know if they are a chain or not, but we get donuts once a year on St. Patricks Day. It's a special thing for us because they are green. My husband wasn't allowed to tell me when he would be leaving Iraq but he told me when he got back we could buy our donuts. So I knew exactly when it would be then ... and no one else would.

When I was deployed to the Gulf the spousal unit and I communicated via encrypted email and encrypted AIM using PGP. We knew what day we would arrive back before we left.

He was with a kind of unit that can't list when they move in and out of any country. I knew when he left the base here in the US, it would be hard not to know that but that's about all I did know. but not exactly where he went from there. I didn't even know where he was exactly in the country until he got back. I couldn't put his rank on any mail I sent him and the address was for a fictitious unit. Makes for a very stressful time because whenever anything happens you never knew if he was close to it. I really got into the Food Network during that time, because I couldn't handle the news.

I imagine McDonalds and the Big Mac will be back when the economy gets better. It may be years, but I think they'll be back.
