I don't know, when I think latte, McDonald's would not be my first choice, even if they did have them.

I like the atmosphere of the Starbucks and local coffee cafes. The only way McDonald's would get my coffee business is if they changed the decor, played soothing music and had a quiet place for me to sit.

Have never been to a McDonald's that was quiet. It's a family friendly place, which is great. I just so happen to not be in that demographic group any longer.

I don't care for their burgers. McDonalds is a last resort kinda place for me, if we are traveling and don't know how long it will be before we find another place to stop we might eat there if we are pretty hungry. I prefer to take my chances and wait but the kids win occasionally if they think they will starve to death in the next few minutes.

Here in NC we have Mc Cafe, it is attached to the Mc Donalds. It is a whole different section like an upscale coffee shop with pastries and gourmet sandwiches served on real plates and flatware. I went there a couple of times and enjoyed a cafe mocha in a big wide ceramic mug! They also offer to go, but the cafe items are not available through the drive through.
