Wow, some of these items are as many calories as I eat in a day, and then some!

One day, all restaurants will have to list the nutrition and calories on the menu, from what I've read.

Bet some of those items will be a thing of the past real fast.

Ruby Tuesdays at one time listed nutrifacts under each item, really sucked the enjoyment out of eating there.

How is it that we can create really good dishes at home with far less fat, and they taste great and restaurants can't?

I guess that's nice for someone who eats at these places more than once a month. I might go out once every 2 months unless we are traveling and if I do that I feel like I can splurge a bit. When we travel and have to eat out the entire trip I worry about it some.

So many restaurants use far too much salt! We have stopped going to a few of them because half way through the meal my hands start to swell from all the salt, then my feet feel like they are going to explode out of my shoes!

TOO much sodium will cause my body puff up like the Michelin man!!!!

I like the blooming onion, but 4 of us are eating it. Still probably not something anyone should eat every day though.

And therein lies the key. It's probably ok to have any of these things once in a while, but you wouldn't want to eat it every day.

There was a story on the evening news last week about people who live to be 95. Seems it didn't matter so much if they smoked or were overweight or exercised or were happy, the key to a long life is in the genes. If your parents and grandparents lived a long life, you probably will too. I thought that was pretty interesting. My grandmother is 84 and going strong. Now, pass me some of that stuff from the list.
