I'm not a waitress, but I can see a lot of the things mentioned by the waitstaff. I am constantly amazed at how ignorant people can be when dealing with my coworkers and myself. There are a lot of really sweet customers that come in, and you get to enjoy talking to them and getting their food together, but then there are also some people who are just ... for lack of a better word... horrible.

Working in retail, I get my share of horrible people. I definitely would have a hard time working a job where these people were directly responsible for paying my wage. I have a lot of respect for servers, we had a favorite server that we saw weekly at our favorite place, we would get her to tell us her horror stories of the day, it was a good way for her to vent.

I find it terrible how many places make their staff push extras on you, I know that they are looking for increased revenue, but this can be a turnoff for the customer directly affecting the tip they leave.

I ran my own business for some twenty years, you guys remind me of reasons I would never go back. Course, then again, we are all serving someone....
