I mean, if I'm eating pizza, why would I be thinking healthy? It's not something I eat everyday.
Sometimes I think they are taking the fun out of some foods.
I wouldn't say that I eat pizza to be healthy, and I eat my share of white crust pizza, but I do like the whole wheat sometimes when in a gourmet or hippy type pizza place, but I doubt that I would order it elsewhere, I am pretty sure that chains are doing it more as a gimmick.

We've probably all seen crop circles and we've all been exposed to pizza flyers, but recently Papa John's innovated a unique combination of the two.
According to the Fire Wire blog, this advertisement for Papa John's new whole wheat crust is cut into a wheat field near the Denver airport. It'll be seen by everyone flying in to the Denver area, just in time for the Democratic National Convention. The pizza chain apparently wanted to get in on the convention sales, but wanted to have fun with it.
I actually really like this ad. It's a lot more fun and less obnoxious than other Papa John's ad campaigns. What's your take on the pizza ad crop circle?
Doesn't do anything for me, but pizza advertising in general doesn't get to me. We order locally...and sometimes buy a Papa Murphy's take-n-bake. Other than that, I make it from scratch.
When we want pizza I make it, because the nearest pizza place is a 45 min. to 1 hour drive... unless we want to eat some of that frozen cardboard pizza from the grocery store freezer section.
Papa Murphy's is ok...at least you bake it home so there isn't any cardboard taste. We like the thinner crust with the meat toppings. Be sure to bake it on a baking stone for the best results.
My Mom makes her pizza dough whole wheat. Although I remember years ago when it was white. The whole wheat is ok, but I sort of fantasize about the white kind she used to make.

Sometimes when we're in town and have to stop at the Super WallyWorld, I'll pick up one of their fresh-made (not frozen) pizza, bring it home and bake it on the grill. They're pretty good and don't taste like cardboard.
