Chipolte Sauce

Seems like a lot of fast food and restaurants are using Chipolte sauce. Quiznos has a sandwich and a salad that uses a chipolte sauce, McDonald's is advertising something with a chipolte sauce, Chilis, and a few other places that I've seen. It seems to be the popular flavor of the moment.

It seems like whenever one place gets something popular you will see a copy somewhere else.

I've been using a raspberry chipolte barbecue sauce for years. Costco started carrying it about 5 years ago and it is so good! It's surprising it took so long for restaurants to start featuring it.

Remember when salsa was all the rage? Seems to go in cycles with the 'flavor of the moment'.

I still remember when the only chicken you could get at a drive thru was either deep fried or pressed into patties ... then fried. Then someone decided to sell a grilled chicken sandwich and everyone is doing it now.

I've heard that spicy foods are supposed to be popular now because as you age your taste buds need more flavor and with the baby boomers coming long... well you know.

I'm a babyboomer and I don't get heartburn...never have. Lucky, I guess.

And, I don't know about the tastebud thing. Spicy is ok, I don't care for sweets (not even chocolate), but give me fresh produce like a peach or fresh tomatoes, and I'm loving it. Maybe I haven't hit that certain age where the tastebuds start to fade.

You have a teenage taste and digestive system.

My husband gets heartburn a lot and he's only 41.

I'd say maybe it a heredity thing, but my mom and dad use to get a lot heartburn and other digestive problems. Maybe it is(?) my diet....don't know, but I'm REALLY thankful that I can eat what I want and not have any consequences.
