Woman calls 911 over lack of shrimp in fried rice
AP - 6 minutes ago HALTOM CITY, Texas - A woman called 911 to report she didn't get as much shrimp as she wanted in her fried rice at a Fort Worth-area restaurant. Police on Tuesday released the taped emergency call, in which the customer is heard telling the dispatcher, "to get a police officer up here, what has to happen?" The customer also said: "He didn't even put extra shrimp in there."

What a nut. Maybe next time she'll look at the order before leaving.

She should go hang out with the McNugget lady.

I wonder if the cops tracked her down and gave her a citation for misusing the 911.

Yeah, talk about someone wanting to have their cake and eat it also! People these days. What a dillusional nutjob!
I hink not too long ago, someone WAS ACTUALLY arrested for misusing the 911 number. Like they are calling the number for every little thing!
I was always under the impression that that number was for emergencies only. Not for petty stuff.

It is for emergency situations only! Out here, they issue citations for those using it inappropriately.
I'm always amazed at what people use it for...like the weather or what day it is.....geesh, people..
open a newpaper or go on the Internet. Don't waste 911 operators precious time.BerryBaby

I called it once because while on the way to and from work, I noticed a traffic light pole at an intercection with the service panal removed, exposing the live wire connections and I was dearhly worried that a child or a dog might touch the wires and be electrocuted.
Several attempts and I got the blasted run-around! The police dept told me that it's the city's job to come out and put the panel back on. Called the city's number the next day and explained the problem to them.
They told me that it's the fire dept's job to cover the opening! The fire dept. told me that the electric co city is responsible for the panel being put back on. The electric co had refered me back to the city. At this point, I just threw up my hands and said; "Forget it!!!"
No one wanted to man up to the responsibility. They were all finger pointing at each other!! There was nothing else left to do then, but hope and pray to God that a child or dog would not be curious enough to come in contact with those wires. It was just a downright shame, because here I am as a caring citizen, I called myself trying to head off a potentially dangerous situation at the pass, and all the city, police, electric co and fire depts. were doing was playing the blame game!!! Waiting for someone to get seriously hurt of killed before action would be taken!
That's usually how it works, sadly.
Then of course, there was the time almost 2-1/2 years ago, where I had to call 911 for myself because I needed emergency transportation to the nearest hospital's ER because I was having shortnes of breath attacks! Those both were legit reasons for calling the number.
But you're right, BB!
I would never call them because I felt that McDonald's didn't give me the right amount of French fries or because Dunkin Donuts didn't give me enought sugar in my coffee (for examples).
They got better things to do than to try to solve peoples' petty squabbles.I'm a supreme Fan of Bentley Green & Aaron McCargo Jr.!!:appl:

A couple of years ago there was a story that people were calling the police because the FROGS
in the wetlands were making too much noise and they wanted the police to stop them!
People never cease to amaze me.BerryBaby

They should be fined heavily for doing that, especially if their calls are not of an emergency or urgent nature!! That would stop them from calling the number for stupid crap!!!
