Proof the low carb market is dead?

Domino's Pizza Introduces Bread Bowl Pasta

Chain follows Pizza Hut's lead by offering pasta dishes for delivery

Just days after two Domino's Pizza employees were arrested on charges of tampering with food at work in a YouTube video, the chain has introduced a new product, "Bread Bowl Pasta."

The new penne pasta dishes -- served in bread bowls -- are available in six flavors: chicken carbonara, Italian sausage marinara, chicken alfredo, pasta primavera, three cheese mac-n-cheese and a "build your own" pasta. The build-your-own option lets diners choose up to three ingredients from Domino's pizza toppings.

Interesting, but we never order from Domino's or Pizza Hut.

They both have huge market shares, but we aren't one of them.

Maybe we don't fit the demographics?

That one seems like a real gut buster. Like a pizza with a mound of pasta on it.

We get take out pizza occasionally but I normally make it at home.

People are so amazed by the Little Caesars 5 dollar pizza but I can make a larger than theirs pepperoni pizza at home for less than a dollar. For 5 dollars I can add some excellent and better for you toppings that would put Little Caesars to shame. Pizza ia cheap to produce, it's amazing the profit the chains must make.

Does Little Caesars have $5 pizza too. Do you have to order 3 for that price? Man, I haven't had Little Caesars in years. There is one in Kenosha, but I haven't been there. The last time I had it I think was when I was on vacation in Louisville, there isn't one near here anymore.

Yes it's a High School teenagers dream come true. If you can get a dollar from 5 kids and have someone to go get it, they can eat lunch for the price of a snack. I think they have quit letting them leave campus now though. But my daughter used to do that with her friends.

You don't have to get more than one

That is pretty good.

When I was little there was a Little Caesars a block and a half from my house. I used to walk over there, they had a deal for a slice of pizza, a breadstick, and a drink. I remember walking back one time and my Dad picked me up in the car halfway because the sky turned green and we were suddenly under a tornado warning.

I haven't seen one here in years either. They use to have one in Kmart, but that closed a long time ago and never resurfaced anywhere.

Papa Murphy's is the biggest pizza chain around here...with Papa John's, Pizza Hut and Domino's following.

We have a local place called Bellagio's which is great...a bit spendy, but worth it if you don't want to make it yourself.

We have a few little caesars floating around here, one on the way home from work. They have the $5 pizza deal, haven't tried it yet, because like susie, I make most of my pizza at home. My Mountain Dew addicted co-worker stops there 2-3 times a week, I think that she is trying to have a heart attack or stroke. I have often joked about it with her.

We have a hippy pizza place here called Lily's that's good and the Mellow Mushroom, that I enjoy.

Charleston has a Mellow Mushroom downtown and near the College. I've heard it's real good, but have never eaten there. This one is a big college kids hangout... not too many of us old folks! :lol

No Little Caesars in this neck of the woods that I know of, but we've got CiCi's Pizza. The DH likes them for he can get a lot to eat.
