Emeril is the guy that put FTV on their current course.
Where his Essence shows were instructional cooking, his Live shows were all about entertainment.
"...a little wusershereshire sauce...BAM!..."
"...400 cloves of garlic...BAM!..."
"...some cininomom..."
"...the food police..."
He put the FTV network on the map and on their current reality TV meets the "next cooking star" format.
How much longer for Flay, Florence and the rest of the"old school"?
Batali's next show will be on PBS with Gwyneth Paltrow, then he'll be building a show for the Travel Channel.
He says he'll still be doing Iron Chef, but for how long?

Rep Power: 10 | I thought the same thing. Although, I see Ina is being given more TV time. Ingrid has been pushed to a weekday slot. Fine with me.
I'd rather see the originals Tyler, Ina, Emeril, Michael....bring them back to primetime viewing times and many will be happy.

Her network show will gobble up all of her time and the money there will convert her to a mainstream celebrity.
Paula hasn't found that path yet.
It'll be Robin, Sandra, Ina, Amy, Ingrid and Ellie.
Then they will splatter some Michael, Tyler, Guy and Hardy Boys around.

Rep Power: 10 | I just think they need to create something new for Emeril. Most shows run their course and need to cancelled or be updated.
They did change his kitchen, but that wasn't enough.
Wonder what will happen to the Emeril Live Band?

Rep Power: 10 | I don't know, but Emeril is quite the musician himself.
You know what might be neat for Emeril? Have a restaurant show. People love to meet him so make it so he has a kitchen and staff and he could go out to take orders from a menu the diners choose from. Then back to the kitchen to show how it is put together in the kitchen. | |
