I'm thinking they are going to be doing something else with Emeril other than just the Essence of Emeril. He just needs a new updated show.
The audience was annoying to me. They would clap over garlic! No one ever clapped for garlic in my kitchen. And all the oohhh and ahhhing over ingredients was ridiculous. I know the audience is cued to do so, but really, it didn't add anything to the show.
When my sister comes over and sits at the counter to watch me cook, she will sometimes throw in an ooohhh and ahhhh, just for fun. We laugh about it as it does seem silly. She tells me that I'm her Food Network star. That's good enough for me.BerryBaby

That's nice. All I ever get is ... "What's for dinner" and ... "When will it be ready"?

I like Emeril when he's funny, especially when he's joking and having fun with Doc Jibs, The Audience, and his special guests as well.
If Food Network is going to give him specials, I'd like them to consider Emeril Live Specials.

I'm sure going to miss watching this show. He had a good run though!

He will still be on the daytime show. Maybe they will get him another primetime slot eventually. Something different. I think maybe Emeril live had run it's course.

Thanks, Clove!
My audience is small, but very appreciative of the good eats I prepare. Makes it all worthwhile.
