Rep Power: 10 | Let’s Ditch ‘Bam!’ Now, Too Let’s Ditch ‘Bam!’ Now, Too Newsweek - 37 minutes agoWe don't know if your steak's done, but Emeril Lagasse is. The Food Network has canceled "Emeril Live," its signature show for the last 10 years. No one gave an official explanation for the split, beyond the usual murmurings about contractual issues. Our theory: pushy Rachael Ray wanted to take over the last few hours of air time she doesn't already own. |

Rep Power: 10 | I like BAM. When my son was little he would laugh so hard when he did that.
Good memories for me. |

Rep Power: 2 | This is the story I heard about how "BAM!" got started...simply, Emeril got tired of people falling asleep when he was talking in class, so he would go, "BAM!!" and startle everyone awake.
I don't know if this is true...can anyone add to this?

Rep Power: 10 | They need to keep the real chefs. The RR, SL,RM, and the coochie coochie woman can stay, but once a week is totally enough.
Give us the real reason why we want to watch.
If I wanted to cook canned goods, boxed items and thing pre-made, I don't have to watch a show. It's pretty much laid out for you on the packages.
Food Network needs to get back to their roots!
