Emeril Lagasse will soon open his third restaurant on the Strip, Table 10, at the Palazzo.
The nationally recognized television personality also has two cooking shows on the Food Network, "Essence of Emeril" and "Emeril Live," which reach more than 85 million homes daily. "Bam!" his signature phrase used whenever he wants to "kick a dish up a notch" by adding some extra seasoning, has become a national catchphrase.
Best known for his New Orleans-influenced cuisine, Lagasse is trained in several cooking disciplines and has honed his craft around the world. He learned the basics of cooking from his mother, Hilda, in his native Massachusetts and began his career as a teenager, working in a Portuguese bakery.

Are Ermeri's restaurants very pricey or does it depends on which one you go to?

Yes they are all rather pricey, more so than what I am used to here. But we really don't have any 5 star places here.

I think a good restaurant is TGIF.

It's actually not that extreme when you consider there are real chefs preparing the meal. I have been to some steak houses where you would pay more than some of the items on his menu. I would say you can start around 30 dollars for a main dish and up from there with more pricey items. But with wine and appetizers the bill goes up. And I think a slice of pie was around 15 dollars.

Ok, I can see that.

It sounds like a lot to me, but we went to that tapas place and it ended up being $25 a person for appetizers.

When my niece got married several years ago, they went to New Orleans for their honeymoon. They ate at one of Emeril's restaurants and the bill came to $150 and that was with two drinks each.

I wonder if they'll ever put "BAM" in the dictionary like they did RR's "EVOO".

Well it's there, but I don't think it relates to Emeril.
