I saw it, I loved it. I will watch it whenever it's on. He wasn't like he is on the Live show but he's talking to one person, yelling BAM! in their face might not go over as well. He did do a stir fry dance in one episode, but I think the whole point of this show is to help instruct people. He shops with them and tells them about ingredients, teaches them about different types of fish and meat and then tells them different ways you can cook them. Then he cooks a meal with them from the ingredients they choose in the store. I thought it was awesome. This is what the food network should be doing.
Emeril shows his green side on new show Connecticut Post - Bridgeport,CT,USA Emeril's going green. The popular celebrity chef and restaurateur, who's as recognized by one name as he is by his catchphrases — "Bam" and "Kick it up a notch" — debuted his latest TV venture, "Emeril Green," Monday on Planet Green, an eco-lifestyle network offering programming on how to be more environmentally-friendly. In a recent phone interview from New York, where he was filming his third series of commercials for Crest toothpaste, Lagasse said he's no stranger to green living. "As much as I joked over the years with 'bam' and pork and butter, people don't know there's another side of me. 'Emeril Green' is like going back home for me," he said. "I [was] growing products organically when people didn't know how to spell it, especially for my restaurants."
For example, Lagasse said he has 80 acres of heirloom tomatoes. "I feel very, very connected with the soil," he said. Planet Green is the brain-child of Discovery Communications and replaced the Discovery Home channel last month, said Reenie Kuhlman, spokeswoman for Planet Green. The channel is distributed to about 50 million homes via cable and satellite, she said, and is available in this area through Comcast and Cablevision.
Well dang, sounds like it would be worth it to add the other programing, think I am going to check into getting a different provider, got to be a cheaper route to go. I just have a problem paying a 100 bucks a month for TV.

Did have at one time, when we had the 250 channel line-up, when we down graded to the 200, they had moved channels around so it now is no longer in the 200, but only in the 250, the line up they are offering in packages make no sense other than to get you to sign up for the most expensive package, other than the movie channels. They use to have a 100, 150, 200, 250. Now it is 100, 100+ which includes sport channels, 200 and 250 and the one that has the channels we viewed most of the time now are on the 250. The 250 has so many channels we just don't ever watch there is no sense in having it, other than it has 3 that we liked, DIY, FNL, Planet Green. all the other MTV 1 &2 and vh1 &2 and all those type of channels we don't watch, its like all the music channels they have sirius and cd stuff we never use. IF it wasn't for Food network and a couple other channels, I have them pull all the stuff out and go back to antenna TV regular channels and PBS

I rarely ever watched the Discovery channel but I will to see Emeril. Occasionally we will watch an animal show with the kids on Discovery.
I really think this show is intended to be more instructional. The whole thing takes place in a grocery store. I am thinking maybe they feel he would look like a lunatic going up and down the isle in full on Emeril live mode. I was amazed he didn't attract a crowd in the store. If he is they are doing a great job of keeping them off camera.
