I always hate it when people feel the need to go around poking others with a stick just for the heck of it. Surely he can find ways to build himself up without beating Emeril down.

Some people have a weird sense of humor, and Bourdain is one of them. I have a brother that is that way, thinks it is being funny, but in reality it is just rude, but then that is his sense of humor. I really have to watch how I take what he says sometimes because even though it seems offensive, it is not meant that way at all. After reading the whole article, seems as though he is mellowing out, of course that comes with age, we lose that aggressiveness, and become more relaxed as we realize that some things are just not worth the effort, and other are worth more.
