Well now, Yahoo needs to fire whatever yahoo is doing their alerts.
One of the Director's aides probably got it wrong. Right now the trailing eyewall is just getting ready to come on shore in Cuba, and the leading eyewall is already half way across. So, the eyewall is not going to over Cuba for long.

I know if I was in NO, I would have already left. We've been keeping our eye on Hanna and the other two forming. Haven't gotten blasted since Hugo. It's so low here most of Edisto gets covered with 5-feet of water with a Cat 1 and we go under mandatory evacuation when a hurricane warning is issued. The bridge over the Dawho River gets shut down when sustained wind speed reaches 45, so if you don't get off the island early you're SOL.

Definitely watch Hanna. It could very easily get pushed northward.

I just checked with NOAA and I see she has changed course. This AM she was aimed to go between the Keys and Cuba, but now she's aimed toward the GA/SC coast. If she stays on the same track, she could make landfall right on the border between the two states. She's still a TS... that I can handle, but that can change very quickly.

Yes, right now Hanna is being sujected to a good deal of upper level shear. However, as she gets closer to CONUS that is likely to change and she will probably become a CAT 1 as she approaches the coast. This of course, depends on her path.

So sad to see this for the good people of those states again, such beautiful areas to live. I guess that's the chance you take living on the water, but it doesn't make it any easier.

Yes, the SE is very nice, but very tropical event prone. Looking at the upper air model forecasts, H could become a coast hugger. But of course, it's way to early to tell.

Having 2 of them brewing at once is really rough. Lets just hope they don't meet up with each other over land and cause problems for the great majority of us or at least one half of the country.

That would stink, though right now it's a good bet that G wil be subtropical by the time H approaches the coast. But the reminants of G could still infulence H's movement.
