BerryBaby is on a distinguished road
One of the best soups that I have tried from the FN is Emeril's Carrot Soup. It's easy and very tasty. You can find the recipe on the FN website.

And, of course, Ina's Chicken Mexican soup was delicious! Next time, though, I would leave out the corriander. Wasn't crazy about the flavor of those little seeds. I added a can of black beans (rinsed/drained). Really good!

Emeril is probably one of the best at finding just the right seasonings to make an everyday dish really something spectacular. I prefer the shows where he makes something easy to prepare but really gives great flavor ideas along with it. I know a lot of people are really down on him because of all of the commercializing and products, but I wonder how many of them would do the same if they could? His cookware makes a full set of All Clad possible for people who normally couldn't afford it. And it's good stuff, I have a set. But it all comes down to the fact he had to be good enough to get the attention for what has brought him this far. And he is a big part of why we even have a Food Network to talk about.

I think Ina's show is very helpful to the home cook, much of what she prepares make great weeknight meals for everyday cooking. Nearly everything she makes I can find all of the ingredients for in my area, which isn't always easy. Even Emeril kicks things up to an unattainable notch for me with some of his ingredient choices.
