    New show, Alex's Day off.

The food network has the page up for Alex Guarnaschelli's new show. Looks like they are softening her up a bit. Her hair looks nice on the show page.

Alex Guarnaschelli, professional chef, working mom and passionate home cook, invites viewers to learn her down-to-earth recipes in Alex's Day Off. Alex shows how cooking her personal style of American, French and Italian faire can be elegant and approachable, with a side of sass. Viewers will enjoy mouth-watering dishes like Mussels on the Grill, Roasted Pork Loin with Brussels Sprouts, Shallots and Garlic, Bibb, Radish and Grape Salad with Bacon Dressing and Homemade Doughnuts with Cinnamon Sugar and Hot Blueberry Jam.

At least the advertisements look good. Seems like this might be a take on Melissa's show with out the price involved, and on Ann's restaurant style food at home with family. I love Ann's show, for me that is educational cooking at its best, up to date, food that you can order from a restaurant. Ann is just not real big on the plating. I hope Alex show more on that, because like some one said you eat with your eyes before the food ever touches your lips.

prepared with passion and served with love !

It will be fun to see how a Chef cooks at home. As much as people at the network seem to be focused on shows about the home cook, it's easy to forget that Chef's have to eat at home too. So at some point they are a "home cook" as well. I am sure they don't cook the same things at home they make every day at work.

I'm looking forward to Alex's new show, for I always enjoyed her other show "The Cooking Loft." Wish FN would re-air those.
