Rep Power: 0 | The Gourmet Next Door Amy, we love you! Her husband does exist! Not dead/off at war/divorced! He likes pastry! Also, he’s a meat-and-potatoes guy. More... |

Rep Power: 10 | I am home now, but too late to watch. I guess she got the husband rumors out of the way. |

Rep Power: 10 | Yes, husband rumors are out the way. The dinner was 'for his birthday' that she made.
I enjoyed the show, the hitting the potatoes with a bat was new to me as well. Not so crazy about all the olive oil she used, but overall I enjoyed it.
At least when she tasted the food she didn't moan...just said how good it tasted. Finally, a show that is nice to watch and informative.
Although, Guy was on right after and I still enjoy his show. He was a very good selection as last year's winner.

Rep Power: 2 | I think I need to watch another 1 or 2 episodes...I'm on the fence. Overall, the show was good - it definitely wasn't "bad." I guess I was hoping for something different - something other than the usual foodtv show formula. I loved the opening with the neighborhood, riding the bike, going to the market. I didn't get that same feeling during the show though.
But, it was only the first show...we'll see what next week brings
Regardless, I'm over the moon thrilled for Miss Amy and living vicariously though her. |

Rep Power: 10 | I hope I get to see it next week, I would like to see how she does. I hope she makes something I want to try, I didn't get that feeling watching her during the competition. She seemed a little too froo froo for my taste. |

Rep Power: 2 | Amy's doing pretty good! She's being coached by someone. She's lost the "Elvis snarl", and seems to move a little more smoothly from dish to dish.
I could learn from this lady. She makes it look easy. I hope FN gives her more than six episodes.

Rep Power: 10 | I am still not feeling it with her. Just not my cup of tea I guess. |

Rep Power: 2 | I watched last weekend when she was making the Moroccan chicken and couscous and thought that she was improving, but I agree with Suzie. I'm not really feeling her. She didn't seem as nervous or jittery as she has in previous episodes, but she doesn't have a captivating personality that keeps me interested.
My biggest pet peeve is that she doesn't really have much regard for mentioning measurements. I don't mind that she doesn't measure things out, because I eyeball a lot of stuff too. But, she didn't even mention about how much of something went into the recipe. I know that some of the recipes on Food Network.com are not always 100% accurate. More than once I've seen a recipe that was different from what the chef described on the show. |

Radio Doug | Her recipes are very good. I hope she does get picked up. I don't know if she fits the new FN criteria. She doesn't travel, appears to be sober and actually cooks stuff. Who does she think she is? |
