Food Network Canada serving up yummy array of shows for the holiday
The Canadian Press - Dec 7, 2007
TORONTO - Last year for his Christmas show "Ricardo and Friends" on Food Network Canada, he hosted a traditional turkey dinner party. ...

I still want to know why they have to have different shows in Canada. Do we eat that differently?

I don't know if we eat that differently, it's probably just a legal thing with the programs.

Just like UK has the original version of American Idol and we have the US version. Well, maybe that isn't a such good example.

Nigella has a show in the UK and so did Jamie Oliver before coming over to FN. I would bet it is just a legal mumbo jumbo thing and the almighty $$$$$$'s.

I wonder if other networks do the same? I have met Canadian friends on the internet that would talk about the same shows we have on the alphabet networks. But I don't know if ALL the programming is the same on those channels.
