Food Network 'Rescues' Home Cooks Across America
CNNMoney.com -2 hours ago Beginning this March, Food Network's new darling, Danny Boome, is "on call" responding to the pleas of viewers hoping to overcome personal culinary obstacles with his new series, Rescue Chef. These everyday cooks welcome problem-solving chef Boome into their homes and, most importantly, their kitchens. Boome offers simple, creative solutions and unique quick-fix ideas to save the day (and the meal)! Premiering Saturday, March 1st at 12pm ET/PT, the half-hour show infuses Food Network's successful "In the Kitchen" daytime line-up with Boome's outgoing personality and irresistible appeal. "Danny is a charismatic young chef who will charm viewers with his passion for cooking instruction and his energetic style in the kitchen," said Bob Tuschman, Senior Vice President, Programming and Production for Food Network. "Rescue Chef speaks to our viewers' real-life cooking struggles, and Danny averts their kitchen crises with humor and flair."

Sounds a whole lot like Tyler's Food 911 except for all that "outgoing personality and irresistible appeal" and "charismatic young chef who will charm" "energetic style" and last but not least "humor and flair." Ohlala! I hope he won't be another hyper, catch-phrase spouting loudmouth. Really, I don't think Bob Tuschman and I find the same things to be interesting or funny, not one.

Many of the 'new' shows are just the old shows with new people. I really don't see much of a different with Rachael's Tasty Travels and Giada's Weekend Getaways except Rachael gets a longer trip.

I envy both of these gals. How many liquid lunches does it take them to convince Bob Tuschman to pay them to travel to exotic places and eat ? I want in on this gig. The shows are identical. I don't think the Rachael's Vacation is anything new either. Except last week she had her hubby with her. He was sporting the "I'm in a band so it's okay to look like I slept in a dumpster" look.

I have seen a few times where it looked like Rachael went for breakfast without her make up. She is cute though, she pulled it off.

I've seen her too without makeup and she looks ok. Some people can pull it off.
Maybe I could have back then, but sure wouldn't have wanted to.
I even put on makeup to go exercise. That's just me.BerryBaby

I think RR looks better without all that heavy black eyeliner she often wears. I mean really, who past the age of 22 still goes for that goth look. But then again who past the age of 22 refers to herself as The Rach.
