I've been one of the ones moaning loudest about the "MTV-ing" of Food Network. In the evenings, with the as-ever excellent exception of Alton Brown's "Good Eats," it's darned hard to find anyone actually cooking something. It's all traveling to various places or eating with various B-list celebrities or, gods forbid, yet another version of "Unwrapped."Get thee to a weekend, my friends! While you enjoy your Saturday brunch, FN opens the kitchen and lets the chefs come out to play. There are a lot of new faces in the FN lineup, and the brightest by far has been Ingrid Hoffmann, host of "Simply Delicioso" airing at 1:30 p.m. ET on Saturdays. Her personality crackles with energy, the cooking is well-shot and easy to understand and the recipes run the gamut from authentic South American classics to great American dishes with Ingrid's own twist.

I looked to see if a guy had written the article. Sure enough.

Ingrid has a tv commercial for a taco chip sort of thing. I was kind of dozing without my contacts and even without being able to see, I recognized her voice.

She was on Ellen yesterday and many times she didn't have an accent. What's that about? Does she just turn it on and off?

Think she is shorter than Rachael, which means she is probably my height!BerryBaby

I have heard people say that Justin Wilson didn't really have the Cajun accent he had on TV. I don't know if that's true.

I noticed the disappearing and reappearing accent with Paula often. The other day I even heard her say spatula instead of spatuler. But I have to admit that my accent changes depending on the people I've been talking to or what I've been reading, maybe even the thoughts in my head. I even understand that Giada pronounces Italian words in Italian while having a very American accent in the rest of her speech. I do the same thing.
