Show About Smoked Fish Tacos/Burritos???

Does anyone remember a Food network show about some guy in California who owns/runs a smoked fish taco/burrito place?
On sundays he has outside music?

This place is a small place right on the beach and he does an amazing smoked fish taco.

I remember him being a middle-aged guy that pretty much runs a 1-man operation.

Can anyone point me to this show and possibly the name of the place?

I've tried scrolling through Food Network's show guide and I couldn't find it.
Also tried searching these fourms and couldn't find mention of him and his place.

Thanks for any help!!!

G

Those places look great, but the place I'm looking for is not in there.

This was a small place, on the beach, one man operation.

Dang..........now it's really bugging me!

Do you think if I sent a generic email to Food Network website that they'll be responsive?

Far too many websites have emails that never get answered.

Thanks!

Sorry I changed my post when I found that one.

I don't think they do answer their Emails. And Palm Springs isn't on the beach is it? I will see if I can find another.

If I am remembering the show I thought it was originally and it's the one you are looking for I think it was a Food Nation with Bobby Flay episode.

Here's an episode with Fish Taco's TV : FoodNation With Bobby Flay : San Diego CA : Food Network

Here's the history of the place and it started with the original stand on the beach.
Authentic Mexican Food | Rubio's Mexican Grill | History

Is that it?

Hi Suzie,

Not either of those places but thanks for the effort!!!

It was not a "character based" show....Flay, Rachel, Bourdain, etc.....

and it wasn't about a chain restaurant or multiple locations....

it was basically a half-hour profile of this one place, this one guy and how he made his signature smoked fish burritos, on a place right across the street from a beach, had music outdoors on Sundays.....and the whole show was devoted to him.

It aired within the last month or so.

Now I'm getting a brain cramp because I can picture theman's face, his place, his burritos....but no the name of the place or even the name of the show that featured it.

Getting old isn't easy on the ol' brain cells! Maybe if I ate more fish (tacos!) I'd remember!

Hi!

I don't think so. Googled that name and Snapper Jack's is inland a bit on a city street.

This place was like a large shack right on the beach...don't even think there was inside seating at it.

Thanks!
