He should have walked out on that stage and made a sincere apology to the fans, to FN, to his publisher, to the people selling his merchandise. Enough people liked him, including me, and they might be willing to give him another chance.

Hiding behind silence is just about the worst thing he could be doing at this point. Either come out and deny it all, come out and spin it, or come out and quit.

I don't think he did what they say he did, People are just spitfull and some tabloid in FL just wants publicity and to stir up controversy as well, because everyone knows "Controversy Loves Company".

He has come out and denied some but admitted to the others. This blogger dweeb just tries to make things worse than they are. It could be since he apparently was to appear with Guy, Guy's people stepped in because the questions to Robert wouldn't have been fair to people there to see Guy. We also have no proof it was Robert's name that was taped over.

Beyond the TMZ and FNAddict stuff, yer right about his coming out. I did indeed find a couple of stories here and here and here and here where yup, he does come out and admit some (or many) poor judgments.

In fact, I've learned its actually a bit worse than I thought a few days back.

Indeed yer correct---we don't have any proof about who was supposed to appear with Guy, if even he was supposed to tandem with someone at that on the stage.

The only specifc thing I found was that "-Irvine pulled out of this weekend's Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival, where he was to perform two cooking demos, festival marketing director Patrick Jong said." from one of the sources above. (Did he pull out, or was he pulled? My hunch is the latter.)

Perhaps RI was scheduled to appear right behind Guy on the same stage, perhaps next to The Man, don't know. It sort of looks like his time slot was just right behind Guy's.

I sort of doubt though, whether anybody had anything to do with the tape-over on the schedule board shown on that video, other than Festival Staff. Its sort of consistent with same quote from above.

FN seems to be pretty PO'd about this affair, and is burying their Dinner Impossible star everywhere. And that alone, says a lot. I don't think you retreat back this far, this fast, unless there's some really big monster out there.
