Rep Power: 2 | Robert Irvine: "It's Liberating" Robert Irvine gave some of his first public comments to Us since the Feb. 29 announcement by Food Network President Brooke Johnson saying his contract would not be renewed.
"I made a couple of mistakes, and I'll stand by and take the beatings [...] I'm trying to move forward. I've had thousands of e-mails supporting me, and I am truly grateful."
While Robert probably won't return to Food Network anytime soon, he says he has "a couple of things in development" and will continue to do charity work with the military.
There are certainly lots of opinions on both sides of this issue. While I don't deny that he's a good cook and promising TV talent, I still feel like what he did was pretty slimy. Wasting a bunch of investors' money is one thing, but saying you've been knighted by the Queen and given a castle by Her Majesty is quite another. What if there were some real Knights out there who missed out of getting a show because Robby lied?!
"I'm human and I do make mistakes," he says. "It's liberating having this behind me." More... |

Rep Power: 1 | I think he is fantastic. Why he felt the need to pad his CV is beyond me.
More said, why did it take him 'coming out' for FN to realise the embelishments?
Still, his show is terrific!

Rep Power: 1 | I'm hoping if all the hype over this dies down, FN will renew his contract at the end of the production cycle. If they don't, they may as well cancel the show. |

Rep Power: 2 | I agree without Robert might as well replace the show because nobody else would seem right for it. I am glad, he has some other stuff in the works and hopefully will have another show, if they decide to not renew, this one. But you suppose we will ever know who emblished, the claims, the most him or the network. |

Rep Power: 10 | They would probably change the name like they did with "Food 911" to "Rescue Chef"...same show, different cooks!
Let's see, it's now called, "Dinner Impossible" maybe they would rename it "Realizable Missions".

Rep Power: 10 | Thank you! Let's see what FN comes up with...if it is
"Realizable Missions", I'll scream and claim ownership of the name!
I did my homework and consulted Roget's II The New Thesaurus to assist me in coming up with a new name.
This reminded me of my old days in advertising...research and taxing the mind.
Glad you like it!

Rep Power: 2 | At least in writing your idea here, BerryBaby, you have written and dated evidence. Wouldn't it be great to see a post one day from someone at FN asking you to contact them with your personal address and phone so that they could talk directly to you. |
