The Amy Sedaris Sidebar

I think I'm going to start a regular feature here on Food Network Addict called "The Amy Sedaris Sidebar," featuring funny Amy Sedaris food-related moments... that is until Amy gets her own show (as I've publicly requested in the past) in which case she will no longer be relegated to a sub-standard sidebar.

In any case, check out this hilarious spot Amy did for Microsoft featuring her bunny, Dusty:

Take out the Microsoft references and this could be the pilot for what could be Food Network's first(?) truly scripted series-- or at least semi-scripted. Think of it as the Curb Your Enthusiasm for the Food Network.

I think it would fit perfectly at the 11 p.m. timeslot on Thursday nights, with Ace of Cakes as a lead-in. (Do you hear the gears of my brain turning?)

All of the I WANT COOKING SHOWS ONLY people are probably puking in their puttanesca over this idea, but whatever. Who's cooking at 11 p.m., anyway? Pop your anchovies back in the can and be entertained for 30 minutes.

Someone get William Morris Agency on the line. I got a show to pitch.

She's the sister of famous author David Sedaris and an actress who starred in a short-lived Comedy Central series Strangers With Candy, and has appeared on Sex In the City, Elf, Bewitched, Shrek the 3rd, and guested on Letterman many times. She also wrote a really fun hospitality/cookbook called I Like You. Definitely check her out.

Shrek the 3rd is about the only kind of movies I get out to see these days. I did see Bewitched once it was on TV.

At least I'm not the only one that didn't know who she was.

Never heard of her, might have seen her in the show but still do not know who she is, must have left quite an impression on me. I am like the the others don't know who she is, or why I should check her out. Looked at her picture on the book cover still do not know her or remeber her from anything

I don't know her either. Watched the clip and it was creative, just not something I found entertaining. In fact, it did annoy me seeing those rabbits in the flour and on the counter.

Lol, yea, kinda gross to think about it, but it was still cute, if you've ever had a pet rabbit, the idea was pretty funny. It made me miss my bunny

That show Strangers With Candy was so flipping funny. Wasn't her name Geri on the show or something like that? Ha ha I believe she was an old druggie prostitute going back to high school as an adult?
