Alton Brown's fun, ironic take on food makes cuisine appealing to guys

Michael Murray, The Ottawa Citizen

Good Eats, Monday-Friday, 8 p.m., The Food Network
As a committed meat-eater, I've only been in vegetarian restaurants a handful of times in my life.
What's always struck me -- beyond the alienating and upsetting taste of bulgur wheat -- was that everybody in those places looked unhealthy. Thin and anemic, they all appeared as if they'd been suffering the effects of a parasite but, concerned that the parasite was a living creature too, refused to do anything to get rid of it.

Just the facts, man

Interesting article

I've heard that Good Eats appeals more to men than women.

Now, I have to go ponder why I like it so much...
