Sunny Anderson has an awesome blog post up right now about food styling and all the work that goes into making those "beauty shots" you see on Food Network.I already knew about tips like spraying...
Well after watching yesterday and seeing her chops, I think they need to work on their food styling because it looked like a pile of _____ I will leave it for you to fill in. I have made a better looking plate of chops than that, and I haven't went to school for it, yet.

When I worked for an ad agency we had many food accounts. The tricks are endless, but none that you would ever use at home....like using Crisco to imitate ice cream.

I didn't even notice the 'presentation'. I was too busy watching her pick up a chop with her fingers and put it in her plate. That may be something she'd want to save for the privacy of her own home, not on TV. That said, I made the chops yesterday and they were wonderful!

I've heard of them using mashed potatoes in place of it when it shows someone on TV or in a movie actually having to eat it. You know under those hot lights it couldn't possibly hold up. I always pay attention to see if it's melting or not, LOL.
