Fans of The Next Food Network Star can make their voices heard, by logging on to http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/show..._20096,00.html and participating in the network’s first-ever “fan favorite” vote! Starting Monday, June 2nd, viewers will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite contestants throughout the season. The finalist with the most votes will be crowned the “fan favorite” and will win assorted prizes.

I guess I don't understand either. What do you base your choice on? Cooking skills, personality, looks....'works and plays well with others'??? We've only seen them 'perform' once. Sounds like a popularity contest.

Is anyone else having trouble voting. I click on Vote Now and there is a big empty space. I am also having trouble downloading the latest adobe flash player, 9.0. I don't know if these problems are connected. If anyone has any advice, I would be grateful.  | |

Rep Power: 0 | ugh. pardon my cynicism when it comes to the food network in general these days, but come on. fn is WAY too ratings-obsessed. you know mr. tuschman and camp will use our votes to gauge who and when to eliminate contestants each week. maybe i'm wrong, but let me guess: fan favorites will stick around (despite culinary abilities) so long as the votes are up. don't let me down food network! more quality, less hype. Rep Power: 10 | Kevin was 2nd or 3rd in votes last week and he was already eliminated. I think they are just using this to gauge popularity.
